The Nose

A Tale of Primitive Plastic Surgery

Zenchi Naigu is a respected monk unlucky enough to have a thick, six-inch sausage of a nose. It is the source of endless embarrassment to him, so when he hears about a new nose-shrinking treatment from China, he leaps at the chance. Sure enough, after a disciple has first boiled, then trampled on his nose, it shrinks to a more normal size. Happiness, however, does not follow as people just make fun of Naigu’s new schnozzle.

The audio, presented as five sound files, is read by Ken Yoshizawa.
